COVID-19 Update May 10, 2020

Hello Everyone,

As you may be aware the National Cabinet has announced an EASING OF RESTRICTIONS for dental clinics down from Level 2 to Level 1.

The Dental Board of Australia has confirmed that these changes take effect immediately and the Victorian Government has confirmed that the Level 1 restrictions are now in effect in Victoria.

Level 1 means we must continue to screen patients entering our clinic and only treat those who do not meet the epidemiological and clinical risk factors for COVID-19.

Level 1 means that there is no restriction on the treatment we are able to provide and there is no restriction on the equipment we are permitted to use.

Level 1 means we use standard precautions in the clinic, plus the use of a pre-procedural mouth-rinse and alcohol based hand rubs for patients, social distancing in the waiting room and limit access to high-touch items that cannot be easily cleaned (eg. Toys, Magazines).

As a result of this easing, from Monday May 11th we will extend our practice opening hours. We expect to be open Monday to Saturday from 8 am onwards – please call our clinic on 9435 6107 to confirm the finishing time for each day as this will vary from day to day.

If you are unwell with symptoms consistent with COVID-19 (the most common symptoms reported include: fever, loss of taste and smell, breathing difficulties such as breathlessness, cough, sore throat, fatigue or tiredness), please do not leave home and contact the Australian Government Coronavirus Health Information Line on 1800 020 080 or the Healthdirect Hotline on 1800 022 222 for advice.

Stay safe and don’t touch your face (unless you have just washed or sanitised your hands).
