Hey Doc, I Read Your Blog. Do You Write your own Posts?

Good question and one that I’ve given a lot of thought to.

Yes, it takes a lot of work to knock out a post on a regular schedule and I have considered several different ways of creating content.

Firstly, I considered getting 100 monkeys and 100 typewriters but came across some difficulty in finding where to purchase the monkeys…

Unfortunately, I found this on the RSPCA website  “Exotic animals such as monkeys, lions and tigers can only be held by licensed persons and usually only for exhibition or conservation purposes – they cannot be sold for commercial purposes or kept as pets by private owners.” Maybe if I have the monkeys on display as they are typing…

Oh, and have you even tried to buy a typewriter these days?

Plus the idea of cleaning up after 100 monkeys seems to be a little overwhelming, it’s hard enough cleaning up after four children. Also I’m not that confident many blog readers want to read the complete works of Shakespeare…

Secondly, I considered copying and pasting someone else’s blog – but most of the dental blogs seemed too technical and formal and some of the topics lacked interest – too dry and boring… zzzz.

Thirdly, I discovered there are people out there willing to write a blog for you – I understand people will write content for you for a little as $1.50 per post … hmmm, worth investigating further lol

Fourthly, it appears that there are dental marketing companies out there that have a set of standardised blog posts. They customise then upload the post to their client dentist’s web pages to make it appear as if they were written by that dentist. The problem here is that every dentist has the same blog posts – although they do mix up the order a bit so different dentists don’t get the same blog post all over the world at the same time…

Fifthly, I could just write the blog myself…

Cheers
